Venue and Seating Information

Madison Square Garden is an indoor arena with a circular, multi-level seating bowl. For basketball, its levels range from court-side Floor seating to the 100 Level, 200 Level and upper 300 Level, offering different perspectives on the action.

Center sideline seats in the 100 Level are a strong choice for a balanced view of the court, while the 200 Level offers an elevated angle that makes it easier to follow plays as they develop. The 300 Level provides a broad overview at a typically more budget-conscious distance. Fans prioritizing close-up detail may find the highest corner seats less suitable.

Parking Information

Parking around Madison Square Garden is limited, and event-night rates can rise with demand. Nearby commercial garages are convenient, while options farther toward Herald Square or Chelsea may cost less but involve a longer walk. Public transportation is worth considering because the arena sits above Penn Station.

• Nearby commercial garages: Garages around Penn Station and 8th Avenue are generally a short walk away; event parking is approximately $30–$80, with higher rates possible during busy events.
• Farther garages: Locations toward Herald Square or Chelsea are roughly a 10–15-minute walk and may cost around $20–$50, depending on demand.
• Street parking: Limited and subject to strict restrictions; it is not a dependable event-night plan.

Avoid relying on last-minute parking close to the arena, where garages may fill and prices can increase. Rideshare passengers should also anticipate heavy post-game traffic around Penn Station.
